I have just started taking Edoxaban 4 days ago for recently diagnosed atrium fibrillation but I now have gout flare up - anyone else experience this?

Edoxaban is an anti coagulant as Atrial Fibrillation can cause blood clots. I am on Dabigatran , a similar anti coagulant, and I get gout from time to time, but I had gout before starting Dabigatran so I doubt there is a connection. There are some excellent medications to prevent and relieve gout, your GP is the best place to get advice, I find that unless you ask for things from the GP they often won't be offered.

Yes I had the same problem and was eventually put on Allurpurinol to control the gout.

Hi just read your post, I started endoxiban end of April this year . I have now developed joint pain in my hands especially. Shoulders and knees. They said it’s osteoarthritis. I never had this before .

Did you get a explanation for pain
