Think my heart has had its workout today 🥴

I actually had a walk earlier and even went a little further 😇 needed my spray though !!!

Anyway, when home I went to get a towel and there it was !!!!!! The biggest black evil looking spider, you could even see it’s knees, my heart rate must’ve gone through the roof, so I suppose I could say I’ve done 2 lots of exercise, incase you hadn’t guessed I’m absolutely petrified of large spiders 😱😱 !!!

Just think that if you had not met the monster you would have had only half the work out for your heart.

Stay safe and keep calm. You are doing fine. 😊

Fluffybee in reply to gilreid1

That is true, but it’s the time of year they appear, scuttling across the floor, by the time you go to get it .... it’s gone 😱😱 I’ve been known to wear ( clean) rubber boots so none can get on my feet perched on the settee, I’m just sooooo frightened of those big ones, I’ve actually had one on me before.... now that would’ve made my heartbeat into a blur.

😂

If your scared of the big spiders imagine how they feel when they see the size of you to them

You sound like my wife goes into hysterics when she sees one

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to daveofpensby

Lots of people say that but I feel they may need a little fright as payback for the shock they give me, being all haughty enjoying having it’s feet on my nice white fluffy towel, cheek !!!!

Thank you so much for the encouragement 🤗

Think you’ve just given me a workout reading your post and imagining that spider!!!

It was a beastie, and just a few seconds earlier I was leaning over it putting things away, I did give a high pitched eeek 😳 I’m such a girl !!!

I used to have a cat who was petrified on spiders, one night she was sitting in front of the fire (fire not on, just the lights, but she wasn't to know) when a spider popped up from nowhere and walked over her tail - she was up sitting on my knee in a flash!

Next time you spot a spider can we have a photo of the beast so that we can critically decide if it was indeed the "biggest black evil looking spider" 😊😊🕷🕷🕸🕸

SpiritoftheFloyd

I wish I had taken a photo of this one, it was as big as an elephant, only just fit in the airing cupboard 😂😂😂😂

I’ll try and get a photo, once I see one I will NOT take my eyes if it or it will either drop on me or disappear, but I’ll get a photo and you can decide 🤭🤭

Someone who knew I didn’t like spiders bought me one of those things that you put over the spider, turn it on and it gently sucks it up, I’d hate the click sound as it goes up it, well I tried this contraption, put it over a medium sized spider, turned it on ....... it just bloomin quivered and clung on, what spider does that, I had a lovely she’d to put it in as well.

Then I’m not going to finish the tale but what did I do next ?????

Umm - being as he wasn't going anywhere, give him a rent book and ask for the first weeks rent 📕

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Rose54

😱😱😱 I wouldn’t ever harm one, they have a right to be here as much as anyone 🥴 the arachnophobia was passed through a couple of generations, luckily I have managed to not pass it on, have always said how much they love sheds for my excuse to put them outside, just never want to open that shed door !!!!! Feel as if I’ve seen a spider this morning as my chest pain isn’t the best today.

🙄

Fluffybee in reply to Rose54

Had lots of laughs on here today but today my chest has been pretty bad, I just don’t know why it’s much worse today. I’ll have to think what I did yesterday, must’ve overdone things.

How have you been ?

Rose54 profile image
Rose54 in reply to Fluffybee

I'm OK thanks

waiting for 24 hour Holter monitor but think it will be a long time waiting

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Rose54

Yes I think sadly it will be, I’ve had the holster monitor then the loop recorder under my skin.

Doesn’t look like things are going to move on quicker anytime soon does it, I’m still waiting for an MRI stress test.

Hope you get an appointment ASAP 😊

Your more generous than I am.. Terrified of spiders. I guarantee if I'd seen it my scream would have beaten yours. My wife deals with them. I deal with mice our cats bring home. But I'd have splattered the spider. Only good spider is a flat spider. Lol

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Andrew1971

😂😂 I’m trying to be neutral !!!! If not I’d need a very large spade to get me out a deep hole I’d dig myself.

I am absolutely petrified, I cannot even look at it once someone’s caught it to put it outside through the glass.

My sister used to take hay for her friends horse in the boot of her car, then in the dark night with the glow of the dash a few monster legs revealed itself around the sun visor, managed to stop to get it out but it had gone 😳😳😳😳 never be be seen again !!!

You’re lucky you felt your heart had a workout. I always feel mine has stopped when I see an enormous spider. Usually just as I am about to step into the shower.

Fluffybee profile image

Oh no !!!!!! I’ve had a smaller one thank goodness, drop on me in the shower it was mangled in my hair 👀

OH LORD! Why-why-why am I reading this discussion, why?! Like you, I won't kill them but oh my word the thought of one dropping in my hair during a shower is horrific, I'd still be screaming!

That’s lovely it’s cheered you up 🤗 they do seem to have very pointy knees in Norfolk, I’m on edge now for it’s family to arrive, just hope it wasn’t the baby !!!!!

Going to do another walk when it cools down.

It’s nice to achieve targets isn’t it 😊

Magicfairy profile image
Magicfairy in reply to Fluffybee

It really is, have been having early morning walks with my sister, can only manage 20 minutes, it’s keeping me sane, long wait for hole in the heart closure, humour here is helping 😊x

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Magicfairy

That’s brilliant 20 minutes !!!! that’s about what I do, pushing onto 25.🥳🥳

Is it the corona virus that’s held things up for you (stupid question maybe) or was it being diagnosed took its time.

Let us know when you do get your date so we can help you through it.

What symptoms do you have if you don’t mind me asking.

🙂

Magicfairy profile image
Magicfairy in reply to Fluffybee

Yes coronavirus held it up, should have been done feb/March, symptoms are fatigue, dizziness and breathless at times, feeling like your heart is being squeezed, seems to be similar to a lot of people on here x

It's their mating season apparently and the males who wander about looking for a female. My partner picks them up and throws them out! Uggh!!! I favour the glass and card method of disposal as we don't like killing them. Funnily enough little 'Money' spiders and the small varieties don't bother me at all.

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to gladliz

The small ones don’t bother me either, quite interesting really 😃

I think spiders are the goodies as they kill flies so l won't kill them. I put them outside if they are in the bedroom though, as l don't like them enough to have them in my bed.

Had a smile reading your post, in my early 20s went to live in Botswana for 3 years with husband and our boys, aged 2 and 4 there were lots of lizards and the boys would spend ages trying to catch them thing was they shed their tails to get away ( they can grow another one!) that wasn’t to bad outside but they would come into the house boys would try to catch they would lose their tails I would be left with tails still moving on the floor trying to brush them up as I couldn’t pick them up😩 As quick as I would brush they would wiggle away😂

Best wishes Pauline

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to 080311

That’s disgusting 🤢 I knew they came off but not still wiggle !!!!!

My son has a corn snake about 5/6 ft long, he used to eat tiny little mice, when you got to the bottom of the bag of mice, just like crisps, you’d find little toes, bits of whatever and tail tips, he’s onto large mice now, they’re not alive thank goodness.

I think it’s who can tell the most gross, sick event today 😂😂

080311 profile image
080311

The beauty of having kids really gross stuff they use to get up too, my sons are in their 40s now and both have daughters they didn’t seem to get in to the gross stuff they did😂

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to 080311

So many tales to tell isn’t there, not that I would know about that sort of thing personally .....I was a right Tom boy, go carts, hide outs up trees, scrumping, etc etc bet you were a perfect little angel as well? Or was your halo a bit bent and rusty like mine 😂!!

I used to go to school with my leather strappy new sandals on I’d got for the new school year, smiling as I left ..... soon as I was round the corner, out came there wedges and probably walked horrifically in them but thought I was the fluffybee’s knees 🤭🤭

If I’d have had those I’d be striding along holding my head high, they certainly would go with my crimplene Aline skirt my mum had made me in no less than 3!!!!! Colours, orange, which should’ve been red, bright blue and black, it wasn’t so bad as my mum had passed the pattern on to a couple of other mums so there was a few of us with the same xxx

I am a girl of the 60s loved Mary Quant didn’t have Mary Quant money so would buy material on a Saturday one of her patterns and would be wearing it for work Monday! Have a granddaughter who is into dress making Problem is I live here in Scotland she is on the South Coast, FaceTime as been a God send though telling her to keep turning the iPad round so I can see what she is doing gets a bit fraught! She as just started at 6 th Form college and 2 weeks ago she had blue hair! She FaceTimed Friday to tell me how her first week had gone and her hair was neon green😂 nearly fell off my chair!

Each generation as their own thing, certainly keeps me on my toes, have 5 granddaughters 😂

As you will know having Teenage Granddaughters we shouldn’t be surprised if they dye their hair a weird colour because we did our thing back in the day! Oh but she had such beautiful blond hair 😩

I was into being Mod, black and white pencil skirt, Harrington jacket, black and white stiletto’s, think I was still scarred from the nylon static A line skirts from school so went all out 🤭🤭. Wow bet you looked incredible, I have actually heard of her but in the background a bit, you’ll have to send a private cheeky snap of your outfits, sounds like you all had such an amazing time.

I actually like most music, particularly one with a good beat to have my earphones in to help encourage me to walk further.

And in the car, wow I love my music, cheers me up with a good start to the day 😃

Years ago my father had a soppy black Labrador. One evening we were sitting in the kitchen when a spider ran towards the dog who sniffed it. It immediately disappeared up his nose. He was puzzled it had disappeared and started looking for it. Then he sneezed and the spider reappeared as a wet, round black blob. It managed to get its legs out and as soon it moved the dog sniffed it and it did the disappearing trick again...... we rescued it after the third sneeze. Perhaps you need a dog with large nostrils Fluffybee?
