I was wondering if anyone has experienced or has experience of the following? I was diagnosed with AFIB almost four years ago (59 years old). I take Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban. I seem of get a AFIB episode every 28 days, the episode lasts between three and six hours. Takes about three days to get over it. What I dont understand is why I get one every 28 days. I am trying to manage it so I can go longer but I can't really find a common trigger (apart from stress and not enough sleep). I no longer drink tea or coffee. I have never drunk alcohol. I keep away from salt and a lot of animal fats. Any ideas would be much appreciated?

AFIB happening Every 28 days on Average
That's a strange one.Have you tried the AF association page as they have lots of experience of this sort of thing.
I also have bouts of Afib about every 28 days -mine last for 24 to 36 hours. Nothing makes any difference - I’ve started drinking alcohol and caffeinated coffee again, have retired so low stress levels, etc. Diagnosed 3 years ago at 58. On Edoxaban and Sotalol. Had one cardioversion for persistent Afib (3 months) otherwise fine, lots of ectopic/pac especially when I lie down. No breathlessness, exercise intolerance etc. I watch the calendar to predict my next bout!
In one way I am glad I am not on my own, but sad that you have the same issue as me. I have not gone back to coffee or tea, perhaps I should try one So the mystery deepens, what happens on average every 28 days?
The moon? Not trying to be a mystic or anything, but it affects the tides after all.
