Hi Folks has anyone had stomach problems taking clopidogrel? I have been on it over a year and had ppi changed end of last Year to pantoprozole these haven’t helped with the stomach pain. My GP has put me back on esomeprazole which interacts with clopidogrel. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Do you take with food as I had the same problem with stomach pain. My GP said take with food and that worked for me.

Hi, I did have discomfort problems including anaemia thought to be due to Clopidogrel/asprin combination. Lanzoprazole works for me. If the esomeprazole, with which I'm not familiar, doesn't help maybe discuss taking Lanzoprazole with your doctor.

Hi Platypus. Yes, as soon as I started on Cloppy Dog I got constipation and bleeding. I asked the cardiologist if I could switch to Ticagrelor (which I had been on after a previous stent with no side effects), and the relief was immediate!

Luckily I’ve had no issues with clopidogrel. Been on it since December last year so will be finished with it in 3 months.
