I have been taking blood pressure reading for a few months and there seems to be a cycle, my eating is getting better, more veg, less salt and alcohol and exercise is slowly increasing. My blood pressure is reasonable for my age ie 140/70 for two days and then it rises for 4 or 5 days and then drops. Has anyone had similar.

Yes. It's normal for the blood pressure to be elevated during the day but if you get constant high readings in the morning I suggest to check your gp,
Thanks for the response.
Its not a change in the day, I would have 4 days with high readings, followed by 2 days of lower more acceptable readings, all taken between 8-9pm. It cycled like this for weeks. I have been trying to modify my eating to lower salt and try to reduce salt overall. Currently I have had a week with more lower BP's than high. What I don't know is how long it takes for gradual changes to appear as lower BP readings. I am assuming it will take a few weeks.
