14 weeks since HA and stent fitting. Doing really well have a cardio rehab programme and now regularly doing this, walking and yesterday did 20 minutes on my bike.
Since my HA have had constant ache in my left shoulder and also get a shooting pain on occasions. My left groin also aches quite badly. Has anyone had these issues. I’m thinking it’s the statin. Not yet had contact with my assigned cardiologist due to Covid.

Muscle pain is the most common side effect so if it feels muscular yes the statins could be causing it. When I had cardiac pain in the shoulder I could tell it wasn’t muscular as prodding the area had no effect (in case you were worried about that). No idea about the groin (unless that’s were they went it to do the stent)
Sounds the same not painful when do my exercise. Speaking tomorrow with pharmacy specialist and will talk to cardio specialist when I get to speak, still waiting after 14 weeks
HI AI16 can't really answer the ache in the shoulder, I have an ache but its from where they took one of the many veins for the bypass.
Just wanted to say well done on the Cardio rehab, it helped me out loads. I had a Cardiac Arrest with an emergency 5 Artery bypass last April this was whilst I was out on a bike ride, my wife always said cycling will kill me haha.
Anyway the good news to look forward to is it will get better, Im now regularly back to cycling 150-200 miles a week. The Cardio surgeon said I may never do it.
Hello, I had HA and 1 stent fitted May 2019,and had slight left shoulder pain which got worse over several months. I made several worried visits to GP (and some sleepless nights) until I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder! The consultant said there was a weak connection between cardiac surgery and frozen shoulder. Very odd, but I'm much relieved. It may not be anything to do with your pain but who knows!
