Sudden appearance of a double chin.

When I had an angiogram several months ago, I awoke the following morning with a lot of loose skin under my chin. I've never had a double chin and this disappeared after a few days. But now it's suddenly returned. It's not fatty, just loose. I have gained a little weight during lockdown, but nothing to account for this sudden change. My angiogram revealed a chronic, long-standing blocked artery in the heart which proved too difficult to stent and, as my meds were controlling the worst of my problems, we decided to leave well be. Anyone else had this and what was the diagnosis?

Hi, since no one has replied... I would actually hazard a guess at maybe you have lost some weight? it tends to go from your face first. Other than that perhaps water weight? I dont think it would happen all of a sudden, you could have just noticed it more due to light or being concious of it. To be fair I have no idea...

That sounds unusual, I can only figure it as being weight loss.

Thanks for the replies, but it's definitely not weight loss. When it first occurred the morning after the angiogram, I was 13.5 stone, but since lockdown I've gained a stone. (I'm 73 and 6'1"). Moreover, this morning the double chin/loose skin has suddenly disappeared again. Weird! I'm on 60mg edoxaban, 10mg ramipril, 1.25 mg bisoprolol, 80mg atorvastatin and 20mg citalopram.

With time the double chin appeared on me. I had several complexes because of it. I was wearing a scarf every time I had the chance and doing special exercises to remove the fat from that zone, but it didn't work. I am not fat, and I have a normal weight, but I don't understand why the fast is depositing in that zone. The only solution I was seeing was plastic surgery. I found good specialists ambrosae.com, and I immediately made a consultation with the doctor. In one week, I am going to do the surgery for fat removal. Wish me luck.

It just went away again and hasn't reappeared. Weird.
