Arm pain

Hi everyone hope you’re all doing well.

The palpitations are still coming and going but I’m doing my best not to panic and make it worse!!

I’ve been having arm pain for weeks now. I’m sure it could just be aches and pains or wear and tear but my anxiety is awful about it and I’m convincing myself I’m going to have a heart attack.

Also my daughters grandmother has recently died following a heart attack and her only symptom was arm pain 5 days prior. I’m sure it’s just my anxiety. Can’t seem to stop my mind running away with me. I’m definitely going to see my GP to get my ECG rearranged and hopefully put my mind at rest

Hi Waldo. Definitely get it checked, if only for your peace of mind.

Anxiety is a powerful thing and can cause many physical symptoms. In my case, being told to relax generally has the opposite effect - even knowing it’s the right advice. What happened to your daughter’s grandmother is also clearly weighing on your mind. Never underestimate the power of the mind.

Try and focus on other things as there is every chance your symptoms aren’t heart related, but get checked to reassure yourself.

I will definitely call my GP on Monday. I can’t go on like this
