I had an ECG done very recently which shows a thickening of the left ventricle of my heart. The ECG report was apparently referred to a Cardiologist who said no further action was needed as I don't have any symptoms. I don't know what the symptoms would be anyway as I was getting heart palpitations after recently having a CT scan for stomach issues. Should further testing be needed to ascertain what is causing my left ventricle to thicken and how thick it is? All I know is I can't walk very far as my body feels like a brick and I have to keep sitting down as I get tired easily and out of breath. My GP isn't interested as he says LVH is very common and nothing to worry about.

I would be going back to GP and asking for a referral to a different cardiologist for further investigation. Keep a diary of your symptoms for the appointment.
I’m not sure if an ECG can show ‘thickness’ but know it can show if there has been any damage.
Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. My doctor says there's no need for a different cardiologist. I really feel more tests should be done but my doctor says the cardiologist says no further tests are needed even though I've never met either my doctor or cardiologist. I told my doctor my body feels like lead when I walk and I can't walk for long but he says I just need exercise and doesn't know what those symptoms are.
