Bisoprolol 1.25

Hi been on bisoprolol 1.25 for 2 weeks now as was wiped out with fast heart rate all day made me feel awful, since taking them I have had my period and it is heavy a lot more than normal tried to google if it affects periods can’t seem to find anything, my heart rate is fine feel much better, just worrying about this

Sounds worth having a chat with GP about. I’m no medic, just wondered if you are you on any other pills that could effect it?

Hi no other medication no just the bisoprolol 1.25 I know it thins your blood so I thought it maybe affecting my period doc is giving me phone consultation today so just waiting for call back

Turns out the tablets don’t cause heavy periods doc called me have to have bloods done and a scan now just to add to my worries

Thank you I have tablets now from doc to help with periods have to have a blood test and scan though as it’s not my meds causing the problem 😞

Really one for the ladies. However I have heard of this with anti-coagulantsand blood thinners but not beta-blockers. Have a chat with your GP or ring the BHF nurses. I believe they are in for limited hours at weekends during the pandemic.

Thank u waiting for call back just seems coincidental that I’m taking these and now this has happened

Had blood results back I’m severely anemic so need further tests to find out why I am 😳
