Affects All Veins

Not sure what is going on. Veins in neck (main one) and down across shoulder and chest as well as under arm and veins in arms are all like protuding. Areas over them in arms (elbow to wrist) are real hard pockets like of fluid. One in neck bulges out horribly at times. Arms have become painful. Even ones in hand and fingers seem to bulge. Also lymph nodes from head to knees have been reactive off and on for long time with no known cause such as infection. Blood work constantly flagged with white blood cells elevated and lymphocytes high. And others flagged as well. What could it possibly be. Now legs are swelling bad and pains horribly bad from thigh to foot!! I am getting scared and getting ignored.

How long has this been going on? You write you're being ignored - would I be wrong in assuming you mean you've tried getting medical attention through your GP?

Honestly, if your neck looks like that right this second, you should probably go to A&E, especially if it's 'pulsing' visibly OR if the bulging is hard and unmoveable when you feel it with your fingertips (carefully - no pressure applied!).

Thank you for your note Sunnie!! Means alot to me. This problem has been ongoing. It protudes like this off and on along with lymph nodes. Arms get the same way. My dr said he has never seen anyone have such a thing like mine. The way it goes and comes and how it effects whole body. But didnt do anything to try to find a cause or reason. Did send me to a hematologist who did absolutely nothing!! Would not even look at my pictures. What I told him, he kept saying no that couldnt be. But thats how it is. He hasnt seen it before either. I dont know what to do!!

Have you ever gone to A&E with this?

No I havent. Maybe that would be the right step. And they can see it when its in a reactive mode. At least I could get a first step or clue to whats going on hopefully.

I'd give it a go, Booklovingmomma - I'd like to think they'd take one look at those bulging veins and go into hyper-drive to sort it.

Please update if you do, I'll be thinking of you!
