Well I was just starting to get up to 4miles brisk walk, following valve replacement. When everything gives way (left side) result, stroke on the right parietal lobe. Getting use of leg back, slowly. But messed up post op exercise routine. I see that this can be caused when in A.F. Is this common?

Stroke following open heart
Oh my goodness, I had AVR and bypass and then 5 weeks later my husband had the same stroke as you! He also lost part of his vision. We had one each you have them both that’s unbelievable.
I send you best wishes stay safe Pauline
In all honesty, it is my sight I am worried about. Ok at moment.but. I have only got the one eye that is of any use!
I hope you are both recovering well and keeping safe
I can understand that, when they were explaining about what he had lost they said Half on one quarter of the other I thought that’s ok we can cope he had lost the use of his left leg and left arm and that to me was the worse but down the road it’s been his sight that as caused the most problems, leg and arm as come back mostly, the brain as opened up new pathways but the brain connection to the eyes as gone for ever. Over the first year it certainly gave us a few laughs! If you can’t laugh you would cry!!
Again the very best of luck keep working hard on your recovery.
Stay safe Pauline
