WPW AND PREGNANCY

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping safe.

I had my ablation for wpw on Dec 10th but due to Covid haven’t been able to have my check up.

I am now pregnant , I have tried to get in contact with my specialist with no hope so far.

I was wondering if any one knew anything about wpw and pregnancy? Should I be worried/ do things differently ? Isolate because of Covid?

Hope someone can help

Thank you

Amy

I believe the current recommendation is for pregnant women, especially those with heart conditions, to self-isolate - but as you can't reach your specialist, the next best source of advice would be your GP. Most GP surgeries are operating on a telephone and video chat system so you should be able to speak with either your GP or the duty GP without any undue delay.

Next best after that might be telephoning to the BHF Heart Helpline cardiac nurses on:

0300 330 3311 Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm
