Hi everyone hope you are all riding this covid 19 malarkey out okay. I wonder if anyone can recommend a gizmo for idiots that I can wear on my arm to read my vitals while I am walking, tell me how far I have walked, if I am clapped out or not, also if I could set an hourly reminder on it that would be good. I have got a smart phone to link it to (it's smarter than me I am afraid) but I am not good with the technical stuff. Not mega money please. I would appreciate any advise. Thank you, take care. Ruth

I haven’t got one because I’m not sure how useful they really are. However if you look on line a basic Fitbit should do the job. Others will no doubt have better informed views.
Hi
I have downloaded a “app” called pedometer... it’s free.
I have used it for a couple of years...no ads, no distractions, just counts your walking steps.... now seen as I have to take my phone with me everywhere “just in case”?
I’ve found it superb ... Nice and simple it has the ability to set you a step goal ie 5000 steps/ 10,000 etc it also tells you how many stairs you’ve climbed... it’s simple and it’s free.
I believe other apps may do the same ... but I like this and other friends have also now Found it friendly ...
I have a Apple phone Not Android so can only go on it’s performance with iPhone.
It doesn’t do BP readings ... just Your steps and stairs.
Stay Safe and Good Health.
Sorry but I use IPhone and Iwatch. Does everything heart. ECG. Distance and the best is an emergency SOS call if you fall. Expensive but you get what you pay for
Thank you for your reply. Stay safe. Ruth
I bought one of the cheaper ones in Amazon, Smart Watch and it does the job. Counts steps, calories, kms. I can go to BPM and it tells me heart rate and next screen on the watch is BP reading. It's accurate enough for what I need and it can link to your phone with the JYou app that you can download. Lots of them on Amazon, read the reviews and know before you buy. Hope that gives you something else to go with..
Fitbit is worth a look as it will give you a read out on the app that comes with it, Iphone is probably the best but it is every expensive. One of the reasons I use this watch is that most of my friend and family have one and there is a bit of friendly competition going on. Argos have a basic model for about £55 and Huewai have one for about the same price.
Have a good look at the screen - they can crack where people tap them
