On Saturday i felt a sharp pricking sensation on left side of chest. It came every 2 hours or so at 30 second intervals lasted about 10 minutes. It started around 6.30 in evening and the last around 10.30. I do have AF and Angina but Angina symptoms never been in chest. Anyone had this before i havent had them since either.

Yes I get that...had it today actually.I don't get angina but I do have a bit of 'atrial arrhythmia'...still waiting for the consultant to explain that...could be af according to my gp.Anyway I notice the sensation when my heart flutters so assume the two are linked. My ct angiogram was normal so think the electrics play up.🙂

I had a similar issue (sharp almost burning like a sparkler pain) that kept getting worse (however painful episode much shorter and more common than that). GP got it right in one - It was „silent“ acid reflux. (We use silent as it is suspected I get it more often than symptomatic). Started a PPI and a month later intermittent chest pain gone. I did not tell my GP about my burping and hicupping problem but actually the days of problem burping measurably decreased.

FYI: I know it is common to mistake cardiac symptoms for acid reflux/indigestion- on this occasion while it was specifically chest pain I told my GP about (and said nothing about the burping and hiccups) there were some really big diagnostic clues that it was not cardiac. 1) I had paediatric stomach surgery that increased risk of 2) I take low dose Aspirin for my Heart Condition and this increases risk 3) Symptoms were most common in the supine position rather and virtually no existent when playing sport ( and later 4) disappeared with a PPI)

Recently diagnosed with AF and get this prickly sensation find that doing gentle exercise clears it!
