So what meds are you on? Lots of options!

He was taking Pravastatin, Bisoprolol, Ramipril, 75mg Aspirin, Ranitidine.

Ranitidine was withdrawn and changed to Omeprazole but started getting indigestion. Drugs changed to Atorvastatin and Lansoprazole but still a lot of indigestion, and beginning to feel quite depressed about it. Indigestion started back in December and feels he has given it a good try and wonders if anyone else has had the same.

I take Omeprazole half-an-hour before breakfast and Aspirin immediately after. Do you do this and when do you take other meds?

He takes Lansoprazole about an hour before breakfast, and then Aspirin with Ramipril and Bisoprolol at breakfast time. But his acidity starts after about half an hour before breakfast, and can’t understand why he is still having acidity on and off almost everyday when the proton pump inhibitor - Lansoprozole - should be preventing it. Could anxiety be causing it?

It could be taking the Lansoprazole at the wrong time. My husband takes his stomach meds half an hour before breakfast and his Atorvastatin at 9:00 pm. I can’t take statins as I have allergies.

I have serious constipation from beta-blocker: Ivrabradine.

Some kind of side effect.

What dose of Omeprazole were you on? I have been on low dose Omeprazole for years for indigestion and acid reflux, the dose hasn’t changed but I do notice a little acid burn at times having been on heart meds for 6 weeks now after HA/stents. Might just be the Omeprazole or Lansoprazole dose needs increased?

I’m sorry you have had to have stents fitted - my husband had 2 fitted 10 years ago. His heart meds have been fine until he had to change from the antacid Ranitidine, to Lansoprozole. He has tried doubling the dose by having 30mg before breakfast, and 30mg later in the evening, but not much difference. He can’t understand why he is still having indigestion when taking the medicine which is meant to help him
