Hoping for some advice from you knowledgeable people.

A few days ago I discovered a hard lump at the top of my right leg. It's on the insertion site for the catheter, I think, from when I had my ablation in January. Could it be an angioseal? Do they use angioseals to close the femoral vein after an ablation. Don't know if it's been there since the ablation, as I said I've only found it recently.

Secondly, I go for a walk with my dogs every morning, about 2 miles. I have a Garmin Vivoactive which monitors heart rate (amongst other things). This shows that after the walk my heart rate drops significantly, into the low 40s or high 30s. The lowest I've seen is 36. I'm usually having a nice cup of ginger tea at this time. I'm wondering if anyone could explain why it should do this?

TIA.

You need to get on the telephone to your cardiac nurse (if you have one) or the GP (if you've been discharged by the cardiac team back to your GP) and advise them of the lump and the way your device is showing your heart rate is dropping at exertion.

I'm not medically trained so shouldn't suggest the lump and the dropping heart rate is something sinister - only your medics can advise and I urge you to contact them as soon as you possibly can to find out if there is something serious - or not - going on with your recovery.

(Ginger tea, YUM!)
