This is going too far now.

Come on guys, I can just about handle not going to the pub or out for lunch, or even no park runs (arggghhhh) but cancelling the Eurovision song contest??? Outrageous.

Noooo 😲 And EastEnders will be reduced to twice a week! That will be an improvement, depressing soap. Bring back Tom and Jerry, although I have heard that they've failed on the PC scale!

Nooooo my adult children will be gutted.

Glastonbury too☹😖😫😪😥😤😠

Glastonbury is a shame I was looking forward to watching McCartney on TV.

And we will not be able to enter next year!

Why not?

MichaelJH profile image

We are leaving Europe but maybe we can enter with an Australian deal!

stevejb1810 profile image

Eurovision and the EU are unrelated, it is why Israel are part of the whole thing. So brexit has no impact on Eurovision. If we left that the song contest might stop as we are one of the biggest contributors to Eurovision (which is more than just the song contest)

Everybody out on the streets, this is disgraceful , we're going to need all the humour we can get, Eurovision usually has bags of it :)

Snap! I have one in an assortment of boxes! A project to do when I have another shed. In one of the storms a branch came off a tree and converted it into a kennel! ☹️

Roaring with laughter .... best laugh this year .... and last 😀😀😀😀

in reply to MichaelJH

Mine is a 61 T20SL (scrambler with lights), quite rare, has been in several boxes for several years, but I have had a good go at it over the last few months and things are happening, I actually had it down the road for a fingers crossed 5 minutes a couple of weeks ago, and then took it all apart again ready to get it into some sort of decent order, not show condition but so it looks smart and I can use it to nip down the co-op. I have managed to get it registered and have an age-related number for it now. I also have a 74 Bonneville but its a bit of a handful for short runs to be honest.

Mine is a '67 T20B or Bantam Cub. You have made more determined to sort it out. 😀

in reply to MichaelJH

Well your gonna have b*****r all else to do so crack on.

You had a Triumph Tiger Cub with the gear indicator as a pointer God I loved it and progressed to a Royal Enfield Crusader Sport

in reply to Prada47

nah the gear indicator is blanked off, never understood why anyone would want one! If it's anything like the Bonny it doesn't make heaps of difference what gear its in!

Prada47 profile image

Never progressed to a Bonnie went into the navy instead lol

I spent my honeymoon on the Isle of Man, in a tent, for the TT in 1970,had fantastic weather. 1971 was a wash out rain and fog on the mountain. Spent most of the time in the pub listening to radio reports.

had BSA at the time and a couple of Brough Superiors. Marriage ended with a BMW.

Endless repeats of Dad's Army or Call the Midwife?

Poirot, Bertie and Wooster, Father Brown ?

I might have to draw a line at Death in Paradise too many murders😂

What about the Carry On films or Ealing comedies

It's going to be along 3 or 4 months ☹

Rose54 profile image
Rose54 in reply to Milkfairy

I hate repeats

I can see lots of people suffering from social isolation and becoming very depressed .

stocked up with books on Kindle and bag full of books I want to reread in order.

Some gardening to do

Even made a cake this week gave half of it away so I wasn't tempted to much .

Shoshov profile image

gardening still out of reach in scotland i’m afraid. ground so wet you squelch through over your ankles🤣

What about the 2 Ronnies, Open All Hours and Only Fools and Horses?

in reply to MichaelJH

I don't think Kung Fu is a very good choice at the moment to be honest.

What? I usually refrain from getting involved but this news has rocked me, this is our Waterloo moment. They’re treating us like a toy or a puppet on a string. “What’s another year?” you say but I wanna hear that everybody has used the voice they’ve been given and done all kinds of everything to have it reinstated. Maybe you hate it and are thinking Hallelujah, maybe you’re indifferent and are having difficulty making your mind up. In your eyes you see yourself as one of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Kids, “Why me?” you ask but I believe we could soon have the organisers running scared and it will rise like a phoenix from the ashes. Once again we will experience the euphoria on Eurovision night as we do wild dances in front of the TV . I’ll protest everyway that I can and soon my heart will go boom bang-a-bang as I see my number one being mimed to. I know you can all be heroes and join me in this protest. If we don’t act now what’s left, only teardrops.

Hold me now, I’m getting carried away.

in reply to Lonmayloon

Dunno what Meds they got you on but can you post me some??
