Hi Everyone, I have had Angina for fourteen years and until last June I hardly ever used my spray as I had a slow release pill, Elantan 25. Then in June started having a dead arm shoulder at night sometimes. Saw three different GP's and was ignored until 2nd January after particularly bad night and was sent straight away to hospital for a blood test and they kept me in. I was then sent to Cardiff where they fitted a stent with difficulty.....took over two hours because of my "concrete veins" the Consultant's words. He told me there were three problems, one solved by the stent ,one with medication and the third they would bypass in 3-4 months. On my discharge from local hospital the following day there was no mention of a bypass but that another artery had taken over the job of the "dead " one.

Have an appointment in Cardiff on the 23rd March and have had an Echcardiogram but no contact from anyone with results or thoughts since Januay 6th.

Is this par for the course?

Has anyone else grown an artery? Does this mean I may not need bypass?

I feel fine and have glad no angina attacks since stent was fitted.

Sorry this is so long but would welcome some thoughts on it please.
