Hi there has anyone had any experience with readings from the Apple Watch? I’ve taken one tonight and I’ve noticed a slight difference on the first chart between beats and a longer pause I also felt this pause too. I’m currently waiting on an echo as been having these wee “ feelings” for a year and they’re debilitating and I’ve never mentioned to capture one not even on holter monitors but have managed to on an Apple Watch?

Apple Watch ecg
Hello, does your watch show sinus rhythm or something else at the watch? These could just be ectopic heartbeats!
Hi yes it says sinus rhythm, I’ve been under investigation for a year as currently on bisolporol for tachycardia episode, they told me I had a slight respiratory arrhythmia but I i keep feeling these huge pauses then get a little surge of adrenaline afterwards. I cannot stomach the feeling these episodes make me feel but I just wanted to know if anyone else had any of these and if they were told what they were?
I regularly use the ecg function on my watch. However as i have afib the charts are rather chaotic. I use it simply to monitor that bisoprolol is doing its job in keeping my heart rate below 100. Indeed had it not been for trying the function my afib would not have been detected. Sorry i know that this does not answer your question .
Hi no it’s fine thanks I was put bisolporol as my heart kept racing then slow then racing along with these pauses and lurching feeling although they haven’t said anything other than I need to have an echo and a two week holter to capture what’s going on also they want to wean me off bisolporol and see what happens when I’m off it but it’s scary to think as my heart seems like it’s all over the place.
I use the Apple ECG. After getting some odd ecg readings cardiologist ordered a 15 day zio patch. He says Zio did not see several including 198 and 208 heart rates. I called Apple and they say my watch is correct. It’s frustrating figuring some of this out and I do feel a bit deflated where the Zio saw nothing over 120’s and no missed beats etc.. Cardiologist feels watch not a medical device however it does match BP cuff heart rate and ER machines when I’ve been.
I hear you on the debilitating! After 6 stents this July and complaining months following about BP issues I requested tests suspect my Kidneys were involved. Tests returned just into stage 3 and now I believe sugars are an issue. This is certainly a challenge to hone into what’s causing breakdown of systems..
Hi,
All very intereting and I am awaiting the samsung launch of the ECG feature. what I can say is that I have what is suppose to be one of the most accurate HR monitor watches, top end Garmin, this is smart watch number 4 and as I want to watch carefully HR during excersise and hot fed up with most watches being wrong, I went for something recomended but even this watch occasionally double counts, when I notice it doing this I check on my phone with HR monitor out of interest and manually and have noticed that for a few minutes some times it reads double, so even the best of monitors/ watches that are commercially available can read wrong.
This is not a diagnosis!!! and it is hard to read because it is a bit fuzzy The 4th beat top row could be a PAC ( premature atrial contraction) which is just an extra beat NOT coming from the sinus node. After this there is a pause as the sinus node timing can get a bit out of sync with an extra beat. Occasional PACs are common and usually not a cause for concern but some people may have a “palpitation” feeling when they occur.
