hi guys hope your all having a good day. just to let you know iv sprung the joint. got evicted earlier. it’s so great to be home. no definite diagnosis yet. just to persevere with the meds and has upped lanzoprazol and introduced gaviscon. querying gastric spasms which apparently mimic heart pain. so some testing required there. thallium test however was very reassuring as to severity of conditions. he says he’s 1000%sure that i won’t have another heart attack in the next year as all tests are very positive. so i’m gonna run with it and hope the meds do the trick. thanks for all you words of encouragement this past week. iv really appreciatethem thanks for being thete❤️shiona

Great news that you're home, I hope the sun is out to welcome you back. That is so reassuring bout the low heart attack risk, long may that continue.

Did they also continue with the increase in isosorbide? Xx

thank you❤️

So glad your home Scottish panda 🐼. I’ve had my iso mon upped now as a sign of solidarity with you. I’m now on 90 mg per day. I feel really dizzy and a right banging headache 🤕 but less pain and tightness. Just horrible feeling dizzy, I know how Lesley must feel now 😂

thanks james. iv had a few bad headaches too. didn’t think about it being the isosorbide. thought it was just a hospital thing🤣not feeling dizzy which is a change for me❤️

when my isorobide was upped to 100mg i had horrible headaches for about a week.. contacted GP who confirmed it was the increase in isorobide dose.. said headache should disappear and she was right👍

Welcome home - well timed for not having to dash through the snowfall and it sounds as though you've been given some good news in that everything looks good for avoiding a heart attack for the next year or so. Hopefully the worst of the upped meds side effects have worn off so you can enjoy being home the now.

thanks sunny. funny you should say that. i could hardly walk out to car tonight for pains in left shins. think it might be the statin. think i had that problem before when on 80 mg❤️

Sorry to hear that (about the pain in your shin), it really doesn't seem fair you should have to go through that. Does anything help - hot water bottle, maybe?

i took some paracetamol when i got in. hopefully be ok tomorrow ❤️

Glad they are getting on top of things. I had envisaged something truly exciting like you had knotted the sheets together and climbed out the window to find you were on the ground floor and Matron was waiting. I sometimes have a vivid imagination!

me too michael🤣only problem there was only an enclosed courtyard below. no escape. just my luck. ❤️

It was sunny here until 1/2 hour ago, but there are some rather dark clouds floating over now. Never mind, it's warm indoors :)

yeah keep the heating up high🥶

Glad you managed to get back home .. nothing beats getting back into your own bed .. I’m on day 13 of my hospital stay after the emergency admission of possible unstable angina the tests were rudely interrupted with a flu positive diagnosis resulting in 6 days of isolation . So now I’m free I’m to be transferred to the heart and chest hospital tomorrow where hopefully I get sorted and can get back home ASAP..

Take care everybody xx

Oh dear Beachbabe. Glad you survived solitary confinement!!

Smiling at Shiona's toast references below!! Bless her.

Wishing you all the best. You'll be back home before you know it xxx

oh that’s not good. isolation in hospital is the worst ever. i remember when my son was born there was an outbreak of salmonella in the hospital. they shut the hospital down with nobody getting in or out. one of the most traumatic times for me. but looks like you’re paroled to get the serious job done. hope everything goes well for you and they get results sooner rather than later. keep your chin up and you’ll be home before you know. just keep thinking about that toast when you get home🤣

Shoshov profile image

hopefully. had a bit of discomfort last night. took some gaviscon and it went away. so maybe docs on the right track ❤️

Qualipop profile image
Qualipop in reply toShoshov

It's horrid when they can't work out what's causing things. For 5 weeks now I've had really bad chest tightness and struggling to take in a deep breah. SO far I've had an emergency x ray in case it was a fractured spine;- it wasn't ; tested GTN spray which didn't help at al so doc says it's not heart; spent days upping the stomach protectors- no change so it's not acid reflux; chest and lungs are clear so he's assuming it's my spinal stenosis, scoliosis and spondyilosis but hasn't offered any treatment. I can't function if I stand up and the nerves compress.

Shoshov profile image
Shoshov in reply toQualipop

i know how you feel. because gtn doesn’t help most of the time and the fact when i was in i had an attack when having lunch he suddenly came up with gastric. oh well. maybe one day they’ll figure us complex people out. hope things settle for you soon❤️

So pleased for you that you are back home - always recover quicker at home in the peace and quiet and some decent food! And why is it impossible to sleep in hospital unless you are post surgery and still fairly comatose from drugs? Always so much noise and if you’re really lucky there is an Alzheimer’s patient kicking off. I speak with experience of that and also having to try and calm my mother down when she’s been admitted for a fall.

Shoshov profile image
Shoshov in reply toFeetheBookworm

your right about all the above. the one i hate most is the poor patients taking seizures. that really scares and upsets me. ❤️
