Couch to 5k on hold

I was really enjoying couch to 5k. I got to the last run in week 6, and I pushed it a little too far in the last minute when they encourage you to step up the pace, and I got what I thought was cramp. So I left it 3 days and did week 7, run 1. I took it fairly easy and got through ok but now I can hardly walk. It seems like I may have done something to my tendons. Anyway, I’m going to hold off running now for 7-10 days to try and completely recover, rather than do my normal thing and try and blast through it. I guess after 10 days I’ll have to go back to week 6 at least? Anybody else had anything similar or can advise on next ‘steps’?

Thanks. I have decided to use the cardio rehab exercises to try and keep exercising but avoid pressure on the tendons 🙂

That’s interesting. As part of Week 7, it’s 5 min warm up, 25 mins run and 5 mins cool down. I never check my heart rate but will give it a go,

Thanks
