Hi Truesta123

Sine my heart attack in December 2018 I've lost 3 stone in weight but I'm still on the same dose of medicines.

I did read somewhere about the dosage of the beta blocker I'm on, Carfedolil, where it said that the maximum does was 25g twice a day, or if the patient weighed more than 85kg (13st 5lbs) the maximum dose was 50g twice a day.

I don't know if a 3st weight loss would require your meds to be adjusted, but I would have thought not. Have a chat with your doctor about it.

I've looked at your previous post where you listed your medicines, and I'm not aware that the medicines you're on are that likely to cause your stomach problems.

Do you speak to your doctor about getting some help for your anxiety issues? Some of the symptoms you describe could be anxiety.

Looking at your previous post you are on the smallest dose of Bisosoporal so it cannot really be reduced. Atorvastatin depends on cholesterol levels particularly LDL as they are trying to avoid restenosis.

The main difference weight loss makes is to blood pressure and Type II diabetes.

Usually they prefer not to reduce drugs in Year 1!

My cholesterol went very low and I lost 2 stone after one stent and low fat, low sugar and low salt diet and so on yearly review my Atorvastatin was reduced to 25mg.

Also not prediabetic any more. Now on low dose

Bisoprolol. Would suggest you see your GP re low

energy, there are many causes of this. My energy levels

are normal and don’t think medications would be the

problem.
