Yesterday's Dental X-ray
What about arm and a leg ? 😂
Wherever did you find that Michael? Are they your teeth inside your wife`s purse?
I know. I had a crown fitted yesterday. Had a check up two weeks ago and molar at the back had chipped, dentist didn't feel that it could be filled again and suggested a crown.
As we know dental condition is important if you have heart issues, so had to bow to her knowledge and accept the need for the filling to be replaced by a crown. While there also had a course of Airflow Therapy - compressed air/water and particles to remove stains from teeth (now an ex-smoker so probably good idea). Final bill £530!! Dentist advised me not to eat or drink anything for an hour - tempted to reply that I won't be able to afford to eat or drink anything for a few weeks! 😭
Oh! They're taken all your money!
I have just paid £600+ for a root canal followed by 2 weeks discomfort and an abscess and antibiotics due to a " rare complication "
My dentist has phoned regularly to check progress and said do not hesitate to get back in touch as they are always there to help! I am concerned tbat double the work on the othere side has affected yet another filling but am keeping quiet until bank balance has recovered as pretty sure that will be yet another crown.
Love your post MichaelJH
If you have a problem- don’t leave it. Ask to speak to the practice manager/ dentist, and ask if it would be possible to spread the payments by standing order over a few months.
If they know you and you’ve always paid on time they might well extend this courtesy to you. We would, no questions asked.
More important to get the treatment you need than leave it and find an infection will destroy the tooth/root and you need it out.
Thank you for your concern Speakeazi but this is the trouble with two dimensional comms this was really a tongue in cheek comment.(excuse pun) Forking out for a crown if needed is not financially embarrassing for me. but I do need to let this treatment settle before embarking on more!!
