Has anybody on here had a fem pop bypass.i had one 7 weeks ago my leg is still swollen skin is as tight as a drum.i am as weak as a kitten cant walk to far out of breath.

I don’t know if you have cardiac/ lung issues.

You could call the ward or talk to one of the vascular nurses.

Don’t do nothing- you need to find out what’s going on.

No other than the vascular issue I am as fit as a butchers dog for a 67 year old.

You need to contact your GP or the vascular department the moment they open. If your symptoms have come on since surgery get to A&E as it may be s blood clot on the lungs! Let the forum know how things develop.

How strange is that I went to have a lung check on Friday told her about my operation and finding it hard to get my breath, she told me nothing to worry about. I am with the nurse tomorrow for my mot check will book to see the doctor.

Seen the doctor on thursday told me to stop taking the statins, sent me for blood tests, chest xray, and booked me in for a heart scan. Awaiting the results. I cant walk a few hundred yards and I am puffing like an old steam engine., got my cholesterol results off him from my blood test 2 weeks ago 2.9 how low is that.

Been off the Atorvastatin 40mg for 5 days yesterday I run up and down the stairs 3 times my breathing is brilliant back to normal. Went out for a walk no problems so much for the Atorvastatins.

That’s good to read you are feeling so much brighter. Did the dr suggest trying another statin ? I had a few goes before settling on one.

No gave me a list blood test , chest xray, heart check, no statins. And see him again in a months time. I have an appointment with the dr on the 27th and I see the surgeon on the 28th . So I think the discussion of statins will be back on the table . I have a fem pop in my left knee and an AA.i will take another statin if it helps me stay away from another operation..
