Things I love about not being fat anymore

I know being healthy is the most fabulous goal, but we’re only human and other tangible things can help in the weight battle.

The thing I love is tying my shoe laces whilst bending over, with my coat on and there is no tummy pain as my trousers dig into me!

Don’t fry, eat saturated fats eg butter or cheese, nothing fried, as little sugar as I can, no ready meals or processed food. No juice or fizzy drinks and v little alcohol But yes to bread, the limited number of veg I like, fish, chicken, a steak every now and again.

Walk each day, indoor bike and training once a week.

Sometimes to liven things up I might add in or focus on something. In the summer it was no processed food ( included everything except fresh food ) during the day - was v hard. This month is making sure I have my 5 a day. A bit of intermittent fasting sometimes too.

Hi

I have underactive Tyrion and on Steroids long term for PMR so find it difficult to lose weight apart from walking exercise is hard due to muscle fatigue.

I normally attend BHF exercise once a week and Tia Chia but due to seeing Physio have not been for a while.

I have lost 1st 9lb since end of May 2019

much quicker then I have when going to any Diet meetings and paying

I have a sweet tooth but dont have sugar in any drinks .

So water, Ginger Tea, Decaf coffee .

Only have milk Semi Skimmed with Porridge in morning

Lunch 2 slices of bread from a small loaf

Poach egg on toast

Toast

Or a sandwich Tuna ,Ham. or chicken sometimes prawn

Evening Meal

Cooked from scratch

5% mince add extra veg for Chilie ,Spag bol or cottage pie limit Rice pasta potatoes

Fish with veg no potatoes

Vegetarian Sausages with veg no potatoes

Salad

Followed by low fat low sugar yogurt

Use Olive oil for cooking and olive oil based spreads

No crisps

Do have a few biscuits now and again but as have no young children dont have anything tempting in the house as have no will power.

Occasional 3 M and Ms in cinema that's all my Son will give me

2 squares of chocolate once a week

Must admit I enjoy that more than eating the whole packet or bar .

Read info on BHF site to get ideas then adapted to make it as easy as possible for me .

Plenty of fruit for snacks .

Dont feel guilty as sometimes life gets in the way

For example

Going to cinema today but time get home will be to late for me to eat so we are going to the new Burger King not my choice but Son loves it so I will have a Chicken royal and small fries and just for once not worry about it .

Good Luck
