I don't know if I am unusual or different but I have to say that 12 months from my "classic heart attack" I feel absolutely fine,I have felt no different or ill effects since having 3stents fitted at my local hospital (glan clwyd, north wales ).
I realise not everyone is as lucky as me but the care, and attention I received there was second too none, and I enjoy every day that their care has given me.
Please make the most of what you have left ,we all know we will go eventually but it's enjoying what you have that counts,Happy new year too all xxx

I'm 12 months after the event, and have never felt better. I was quiet a bit wobbly in the early months, and it took a while to get my head around everything, but I feel as though it has all come together.
You're absolutely right, we do have to make the most of what we have left, I think that even those of us who have come through this and are feeling very well are deeply effected by these events and realise how fragile it all is.
I’ve joined this group just today as I’m really struggling a lot with my condition as suffering from severe depression after being diagnosed that I had a silent heart attack in the past. Feeling really helpless, always thinking that I wish I had done something to prevent it happening or if I could reverse it. any advice would be highly appreciated. Please can someone help?
Hello Jon2020, I know how you feel. Had my 'event' in March which came out of the blue. I'm constantly struggling with fatigue and breathlessness so had a recent heart check up where everything in that department appears fine (though am waiting for the results of an echocardiogram) so it seems it may be a lung issue (oh deep joy). However, despite this I am so very grateful of being here. Though I frequently feel low I remind myself that I've still got a pulse, that I will get over it and look forward rather than backwards. Onwards and upwards!
Just re-read you joined today, welcome. This is a brilliant forum where you can open up and receive many helpful, sometimes funny, replies. Take care and a Happy New Year to you.
