Risk of Flying

Hello,

My husband of 79 years was recently refused an operation for varicose veins as his heart rate kept dipping too low.

He is now having investigations to discover the cause and awaiting an appointment with a cardiologist.

We have already booked a holiday that entails a 2 hour flight.

Can anyone advise if it is wise to fly with this low heart rate ?

Thank you in advance.

Hello! Forum members can't answer you. You need to ask your GP. Also make sure you are insured if you go!

Hello and welcome to the forum! As already mentioned you need to get the OK to travel from your GP. In some cases where flying is not an option Eurostar might be acceptable. Insurance may be tricky as basically companies are not happy insuring people under investigation. Good luck.
