Pacemaker triggering other organs.

I understand in some circumstances Pacing leads can actually trigger other sensitive organs like the diaphragm & cause a hiccup or several! I have experienced this though not too often.

My question is has anyone experienced Angina or similar chest pain triggered after their pacemaker implant, mine is a dual chamber PM. I've never suffered from Angina before.

I have just been discharged from hospital after the onset of severe chest pain & am being treated as it being angina.

Best wishes to you all.

Mine certainly makes store alarms ring when going in or out if I'm not to quick. How long should I sit out side the garage ?

Our garage remotes work from quite a distance away. I was going to meet a neighbour at the garages and his was open but no sign of him. He'd pressed his remote from the window of his first floor flat quite a way down the lane.

Interesting!

I believe that the wiring up in the chest after a bypass can set off security alarms when entering public buildings and I will probably find out when I start going back to Town

Hi, yes I continued to be unwell with heavy chest and pain down left arm after pacemaker fitted for complete heart block. Angiogram was clear though so they think I have some vasospastic angina rather than due to blockages. Now have heart failure and need three lead pacemaker shortly. Hope things get sorted for you soon.

I don’t think the PM can alleviate angina.

That said have you seen your Electrophysiologist? The type of PM you have sounds like the device my hubby had implanted last September. They can perhaps tweek the settings to help the symptoms you are having.

Thanks I'm hoping they can adjust settings, it may be I'm just too sensitive ,Best wishes to you all.
