Has anyone whilst they were waiting for a heart bypass experienced shortness of breath with just minimal exercise like walking upstairs

Yes. I started with occasional angina that progressed to regular angina and breathlessness. In the weeks before surgery I had to rest twice going upstairs! Hopefully, you will not have to wait to long!

Yes, that happened to me quite a lot whilst I was waiting for my bypass last year. I used to use my GTN spray & rest for a few minutes before I carried on.

I haven’t used the spray once since the operation.
