So I have an Autumn cold- cough, runny nose-the not quite got to my chest.
I know I can’t take anyone of the good stuff like a Beechams All in One Super Tablet? Lots of those type of tablets constrict the blood vessels and that’s bad for lots of us with High BP and on medication.
But I’m hoping someone here might have an other idea?!

Do your own honey and lemon, but don't add the honey until it is cool enough to drink otherwise the heat will kill off the goodness in the honey. The jakemans range of lozenges are very good. Hope you feel better soon
Thank you. Off to the pharmacy I go. It is s nuisance feeling chesty as I just don’t feel like walking very much. I suppose that’s irrelevant, a little walk will be fine. A workout in the gym may be not !
The traditional cure for colds and flu is chicken soup. Besides chicken you can add vegetables like carrots, onion and celery. Some people add noodles or pasta.
Try as I might I can never make it as my mother used to make. Some people call it a Jewish antibiotic!
I have seen a recipe for a vegan version but I would have called it vegetable soup!
Now Chicken soup I know. But perhaps the magic is someone else’s!! For any one celebrating with a slice of honey cake and apple and honey, best wishes for a healthy, happy and a sweet new year.
I like a hot toddy meownself. I'm honestly not much of a drinker but when I have a cold or flu (and know for sure it's not another bout of pericarditis) my husband the tee-teetotaller makes the absolute best, ever.
