Flu jabs at Tesco!

I highly recommend getting a flu jab at Tesco’s pharmacy! I’ve just been to Tesco to pick up my heart medications and Ive been booked in to get the flu jab for free on the NHS.The Pharmacist said i can have it for free because i have a heart condition, he didn’t ask what my heart condition was, It was so easy to get an appointment, there were no questions asked and so straight forward. Even if they did say I couldn’t have it for free it’s only £9 at Tesco’s so I would recommend getting it done there! I don’t know why I thought it would be more hassle to get one.

Yes,my dads getting one at the same time as me as he used to have asthma however he now has to pay, my mum is also a carer and she’s going to enquire about getting a flu jab for free as carers “qualify” for getting one free!

I'm surprised your dad doesn't get it free if hes asthmatic, maybe he could ask at the same tesco's you've been too?

He used to be, but gradually it went about ten years ago he just likes to get the flu jab to be safe

You should have yours free if you are a carer.

I caused chaos in another supermarket as one of the BOGOF purchases was off and they had no refund policy! 😃

I would suggest getting the shot early. Read yesterday that 1/3 of GP practices in the country are having difficulty getting it because of a manufacturing problem at one supplier .

I was like you but after HA decided last year I'd better have it and guess what? Came out in a massive rash. Now been told I can't have it.

Oh dear! Well, I can get allergies so will have to see.

Can you not have that sooner if you have a medical condition?

Not sure, it's worth asking, thanks.

No hassle at our GP's. 9am till 2pm the other Friday. Walked in no waiting. I'm always surprised the next morning to find a little round plaster on my arm. A very gentle touch and even my wife hardly felt the needle.

Here in the South East I never heard Flu mentioned in the media last winter but evidently a lot of cases in the North East.

So I popped back to Tesco with my mum and we are now getting it done this evening! She is getting it for free on NHS as a carer

Boots & other pharmacies are also doing flu jabs free for over 65s & some younger people with certain health conditions.
