I had mitral valve repair 18months ago and over the last couple of months I have had episodes of missed heart beats and fluttering which makes me feel ill I just want to know if that natural? I work fo GPs who said will happen but I'm not sure?

It's hard to say whether it is normal until you know what is causing the fluttering in your chest. Yes, valve problems can be associated with irregular heart rhythms/palpitations, but it is important to get these checked out by your own doctor to try and get to the root cause of the problem if it making you feel unwell.
