What’s the process for getting NHS treatment outside your usual health trust?

Has anyone any experience of going to a hospital outside their area to get on a shorter waiting list? What is the process? 3 months to see an EP and then 12 months for an ablation in my area. Is that common?

Thanks for the reply and link. Much appreciated

When you decide where you want to go, just ask your GP to refer you to that hospital. It is your right to choose.
