Dealing with a sinus Arrhythmia

Hi all,

After experiencing unpleasant symptoms of heavy pulse, heart palpitations, feeling extremely drained and occasional chest discomfort I’ve recently been diagnosed with a sinus arrhythmia. For ages I was convinced it was anxiety as this is something I’ve struggled with. I insisted on seeing it through my doctors thought I was “normal” after my ECG.. I was referred to have a heart monitor for a week which finally picked up the symptoms much to my relief! My doctor was very good at explaining everything to me and empathetic with my concerns. He thought it was best due to my age and results not to put me on any beta blocker medication which I was a little gutted as it means I’ll just have to cope on my own.. He’s referred to a cardiologist so will see where to go from there. Has anyone made any changes to their diet / lifestyle that finds there symptoms have lessened? Looking to improve my energy levels as with work and studying it can be a bit of a struggle. I’m 26 years old, health weight and admittedly do enjoy the odd weekend drink (which sometimes can make symptoms worsen). Hard to know where to draw the line when doctors say this Arrhythmia isn’t considered particularly dangerous?! Thanks for reading :)
