45 year old male.
Obviously I'll be discussing this with my cardiologist but I figured I'd share these numbers and get some thoughts.
First was 4/9 of this year pre-CABG. Second number was yesterday.
Total- 137 - 135
LDL- 80 to 70
HDL- 37.3 to 38.2 (this is a bugger)
Triglycerides- 98 to 135
VLDL - 20 to 27
So, a mixture of good and not so good. My CABG hasn't allowed me strenuous exercise so I'm wondering if that's raising my triglycerides. I've lost weight so that's not it. I have been eating more carbs recently (surgeon wanted me to eat more over couple of months to promote healing) but I'm a little concerned over the sudden spike up. The numbers aren't bad but with my genetic heart disease issues, the lower the better.
