Hi All,

Recently joined, but heard good things about this site

Had stents fitted about 10 weeks , just having an achey feeling top leftof my chest just by my arm pit, is that normal?

It is for me yes. I've had 3 stents done. I reached the stage where I decided to ignore aches and since making that decision, they've all but gone. It's a frightening time at first but don't worry, you'll be OK. Keep smiling.

Yes left & right armpit, shoulder blades & moobs. The more fatigued I am the worse they are. I’ve put it down to mental or Statin related reasons & just try to ignore them. Some days I can, but others I can only focus on them & rub my chest raw.

I agree with Snoweybm if you can ignore them, great. If you are a bit of a wimp like me, curl up in a ball & tell them to go away 🤣. Good luck 👍

I had stent fitted 8 weeks ago and also have almost permanent chest pain. Been pestering my gp and cardiologist. They think its not coronary related so must assume its either meds (prob statins) or nerves or both. Worrying times but i'm still here and slowly improving.

Hi I was the same gp said it was anxiety and put me tablets which helped I’m not taking them anymore and feel fine.

Had HA and stent to LAD end of April. Have had chest pains and burning in chest and back pain and breathless most days. Been admitted to hospital 3 times since stent as it felt I was having another heart attack, lots of tests but always came back as non cardiac - discharged but never send anywhere to find cause.Been on cardio rehab now twice a week for four weeks - is it meant to be getting easier ?!

Took plunge and whet for private appointment with a consultant. Wish I had done this months ago! She took time to go through my records and explained all tests and results ( angiogram and echo etc). Has changed my meds to different brands and added a nitrate - first day today. Feeling much better that I know understand what’s going on!
