I’d say mine became quieter and softer, not gruff.
My dad's became more husky which could also be described as 'gruff'. Never did work out if it was owing to the meds or the condition. Maybe ask your cardiac team nurse if you should be concerned about changes to your voice?
Did you get to the supermarket, and if so, did you use the big trolley to lean on? I was my dad's primary carer; his HF medical team was 'ahead of their time' and provided carers with a training manual and short courses to help us help our loved one more efficiently. One of the things that they taught us was to make sure the big trolley was used at the supermarket if the person with HF felt up to a little exercise. Now I'm dealing with my own heart problems and find the trolley advice SO helpful!
Yes I have I assume it's because I am short of breath
Me too. My voice sometimes temporarily loses its strength and becomes a little husky. However, that part of the whole business is not a major item compared to other symptoms.
