Angiogram report

Just had a copy of the cardiologist’s letter to my GP following an angiogram and there’s terminology I don’t understand.

1. With reference to angiogram: “...good retrograde filling from the left coronary injection...”.

2. With reference to an echocardiogram done following the angiogram: “...localised regional wall motion abnormality...”.

Can anyone explain these to me?

John

I’m not an expert so you really need to take the letter to your gp, which is what I did with any paperwork I received and didn’t understand, you have to be careful when taking out small pieces of wording from a sentence because it can be taken completely out of context and mean something completely different, but I’m guessing the word good in any sentence can only be a good thing, I had a heart attack and regional wall motion abnormality (RWMA) meant the amount of damage (or stretching) to the heart wall the HA did, yours says localised so I’m assuming it’s not extensive so that’s also good, cardiologist’s are ridiculously hard to get hold of in my experience but your gp will be able to explain it all to you👍🏻

Hi willsie01

I suggest you go and see your GP who will have access to your full history to discuss the letter from the hospital.
