I'm now 3 months into pericardis and am taking the usual colchicine, ibuprofen and omeprazole combination. Although I am undoubtedly better than at the start I have many days when the pain returns, often like a breathtaking electric shock. Work has been a struggle and the whole experience is depressing. How long is this likely to continue?

It’s very individual, probably not what you want to hear. For some it could be like a bad flu and over in a few weeks others a couple of years. There are several posts on here if you search on pericarditis. I wish you well with tour recovery, take it easy and don’t try to rush it/over do it.
