I never realized they had been around so long. My husband has had his for quite a few years. I can't remember exactly but doctors now want to deactivate it because he has afib. He won't let them! He has his annual check up next week so I'll let you know what they say. But a forum for this would be good.
Sorry, I read this wrong I didn't take on board the Facebook bit!! There is an ICD/CRTD support group that would probably be able to give advice/help/support etc. I can put you in touch them if it helps.
Hi Gwen... great to hear that you are living with an ICD after 17 years... definitely gives me hope x may I ask whereabouts you are based.. . As o would love to be part of a face to face support group if it were in my area. Many thanks karen

Apologies for not returning your message... the support group for people living with ICD’s will hopefully be up and running late August the beginning of September of this year... it will be based in Kirkcaldy, Fife... let me know if your still interested..
