Not sure how to start really, assume I have MV Angina though no-one actually specified a name for it. Anyway following several angina episodes and an angiogram my drugs were changed to Dilitizem, Atorvastatin and to continue with Bendroflumetiazide and Levothyroxine both of which I have been on for years. After the angiogram i suffered , is the only way to describe quite massive body tremors affecting my limbs - apparently not a fit as symptoms dissimilar and I was awake and sort of aware of what was happening. Several weeks later the dilitizem was raised from 90 -120mg b.d at much the same time I started the shakes again. A Couple of nights later waking with quite violent tremors. Visit to A & E, most of the staff on both occasions were mystified, although the previous angiogram episode was allied loosely to the fact that I am allergic to shellfish. My leveothyroxine dose was raised and given potassium IV and duly sent home and basically told to stay home if it happened again! Which it did at the doctors surgery! He duly took me off Dilitizem and for a couple of weeks I have felt so well, just like me, if you understand which I hadn’t for months. However, after a quite bad angina attack yesterday the surgery duty doctor told me to start Dilitizem again.
Sorry for length above, but basically I am not overly sure about taking this drug and wondered if anyone had suffered similar effects. To be honest the body tremor thing is totally scary and its hard to relax etc when you’re arms and legs are doing an impression of badly strutting soldier!!

My GP showed me a graph of all previous blood tests and on average the dose I was on was adequate. In actual fact he reduced the additional increase by half and the six weeks are just about up now to have another blood test.
The problem is with thyroid results docs see a result which is within the range and say it's "normal" but there is no normal, the right dose is what suits you, they also dose on TSH level which is wrong, may be an idea to get a copy of your next results and post them on ThyroidUK forum for comments. Yours tremors may be nothing to do with thyroid but it's one route to explore.
It is really hard to describe to them, how bad the tremors are, it isn't till they see them they understand, well I say understand loosely and seeing another GP, as last night when I was feeling pretty rough, know I failed to make it clear. A bit of me thinks I should try again, (the doctor is always he who knows best scenario)!!! I really must make another dr appointment to ask about other medication options.
Hi I was on 180mgs of dilitizem. And ok on that dosage. Taken off it as decided not need it. You have to be tailed off of it when stopping it. As well have you asked if it could be the statin? And change that to another one.
No, I haven't to be honest, is a thought. Though I felt so well for several weeks after coming off the dilitizem, daresay that could just be a trait of angina though.
