Curious?

Hi. Don’t know if anyone can help me. My daughter has just had an ultra sound of her carotid artery and the radiologist rubbed inside her ear where it meets the jaw (as if you had an itchy ear). She didn’t tell her she was going to do it and my daughter was quite surprised! Anyone know why she did this?

Hello and welcome to the forum! There is theory that narrowing of the carotid or coronary arteries can be detected by checking the ear lobes. Maybe the technician was being curious. Hope the results were clear!

There are a number of observations that over time become fact. Many people will tell you yellow spots on the upper and/or lower eyelid or in the corner of the eye mean high cholesterol. Indeed it might but in others it may mean hypothyroidism, a liver problem or nothing.
