I can totally relate and it's bloody scary. Have 7 stents no HA, 6 months ago and not many days pass without some kind of uncomfortable feeling. Think you have hit the nail on the head with the anxiety making it worse. I have seen my cardiologist a couple of times about it heart pain totally ruled out said it is muscular and I also get reflux from the meds which causes pain. Cardiologist gave me a great pointer, asking is it the same as when you were first diagnosed and are you breathless, arm, shoulder and back pain and feeling unwell like when you were admitted and no it is not the same, just I am very aware of any pain in my chest area now.

I can no longer lift heavy items and I can really feel pulling in my chest.

Very early days for you, a lot to get used to and I promise you will come to recognise what type of pain you are getting.

Hi thabks very much for that . yes when i lift heavy things next few days is like i had gone to gym pains for days. And yes my cardiologist said same if the pain is not same its nit heart aslo he sai u have had a second angio 6 months after stents that showed normol flow. So he said it cud juat be small vessel that is diesesed and meds is all we can giv for that as too small to stent also even un that vessel blood flow is perfect. So just have to get use to it. How long since u have had stents

I had my 4 put in in May last year and went back July for another planned one. When he did the angiogram he wasn't happy with 3 of the first ones that had been placed, as there had been some narrowing, so he put bigger stents in. So I have stents inside stents.

I was told by a cardio nurse it takes a year for inside to heal as it has had a lot of trauma with pushing and pulling during the angiograms.

Oddly enough I get very uncomfortble pain when I'm hungry.

It will honestly get better as you really do begin to recognise different kinds of pain.

5 stents in Sept, 2 in December, back at work full time, taken up going to the gym and keep fit class, I get the same feelings, seems to be a common thing and the more stents you have the more you notice it. I'm just hoping it will get less with time but its akways there in the back if your mind, is there something going on inside shoukdbi be worried about it should I get it checked out etc, I just try to ignore it and carry on as normal, but it's not easy and having way to many meds doesn't help I'm sure, but I'm grateful I'm still here to tell the tell as loads don't make it this far.

I had a H.A. 5 months ago and at first attributed every ache and pain to another H.A. Eventually I realised a lot of my aches and pains were down to anxiety which is hard to control. I am shortly going to finish my first course of cardiac rehab and I'm going to try tai chi.
