Hi,diagnosed with unstable angina January 19 ....... reading your posts and find them helpful and interesting.
I have had angiography and lots of various medications that get changed regularly as I suffer from constant chest pain and shortness of breath...... to try and get the right formula.!!!

It can feel very unsettling living with the uncertainty at the moment until your Cardiologist get the best treatment for you.
There are several different causes of angina the usual cause is due to a permanent blockage or narrowing due to plaque formation. Coronary heart disease. This can be usually ' fixed ' with stents and sometimes surgery is necessary.
The other less common cause of angina is a temporary narrowing of the blood vessels due spasms or their inability to dilate in response to exercise.
Vasospastic and Microvascular angina.
This type of angina is poorly understood and recognised and it is trial an error to find the best combination of medication that works best for you.
There are lots of us about with different types of angina.
Has your Cardiologist told you the cause of your angina?
Hi Milkfairy , i have been told it is a narrowing of 70% and 40% of an artery or arteries, but want to treat it medically at the moment.... i seem to be a season ticket holder at doctors and hospital and spent 2 weeks in reasontly . I am so short of breath and constant chest pain , not nice but hopefully get it sorted soon .
