Hi, I have been on Levothyroxine for many years. Recent history included possible angina involving smaller blood vessels in the heart, however following some perplexing symptoms with visit to A&E, my Levothyroxine has been increased. I was also given potassium and electrolytes as these were shown to be low on blood tests.
Just wondered if anyone else had similar problems involving the heart and thyroid levels?

I have been told I have atrial fibrillation after a visit to A&E. They said this may possibly be connected to my thyroid meds, so they are messing with the doses again. I see a cardiologist next week.
Regretably not, think I was incapable of asking anything by that point, but have to go back to my own Gp for six week follow up blood tests, so will find out then.
Sometimes people with thyroid issues can develop problems with the parathyroid. This can cause elevated calcium levels that could cause narrowing of arteries and gall stones, etc. Have your calcium levels been checked?
