Hello I am new here
Webmd.com has some good advice on flying after angioplasty and blood clots. They recommend below knee compression stockings (20 - 30HG) but they do reference for flights exceeding 8 hrs. You could ask a BHF Nurse by calling 0300 330 3311. If it were me I would wear them. Try and book an extra leg room seat. Walk around periodically and while sitting move your feet in a circular motion alternate direction which helps with circulation. Keep hydrated with water. Sure you will be fine and hope you have a good flight. Enjoy the warm sunshine.
I leave my compression socks on for ALL flights.
Certainly cannot cause a problem and might prevent a dangerous problem..
Agree with Nathan53, take a walk about when you can. I just pretend to need the toilet and linger awhile..

Remember to notify the cabin crew of your situation so they can keep an eye on you. I dreaded a long flight I had to go on after my heart attack and was reassured to find out that they had DFibs onboard and were trained on how to deal with people having heart attacks and strokes etc. Have a safe trip home!
