I have fullness of chest, left arm pain sometimes. Some chest pain but not prolongged.
So I just dont know weather I am having one or not.Had one about a year ago, 2 stents fitted
in Carisle then 2fitted 2 months later in Middlesbrough. Still feel the same as when I had
the Heart Attack. I am just winging it hopeing its going tobe ok.The gps doctors seem snowed under with work, so if you cant be precise you feel a nuisance, especially if you get it wrong. So in away I have kind of give up.I have rung the hospitol, but once your discharged thats it.Its up to you to dance with caotic gp surgerys to get et referred. As I say
makes you feel like giving up.

If in doubt, always check it out. I made the big mistake of not checking chest pain for a few days recently - it turned out to be regurgitation from a leaking heart valve which had gone on to cause pleural effusion. If you can't see a doctor, then do what we did and call the paramedics.
i have ended up the same discharged and no support leaving me housebound with only my doctors to pick up the pieces it is a shambles.
don't doubt call 999 they will come out even if to just check you over and if it is a suspected heart attack or even suspected angina they will take you to hospital.
please don't think you are wasting their time.
No it is definitely NOT up to you when discharged and if you feel you may have/been having/will have a heart attack ring 999 and get yourself to hospital. If you presented at a doctors surgery and to the receptionist - if they are doing their job properly they should be pressing the alarm bells. You are gambling with your life and the love of your family who probably look to you for so much - No one will even give t a thought and will respond to your needs immediately. Never risk this precious gift of life we have all been given - protect it and GET TO HOSPITAL NOW
If you are worried, see your doctor. Don't think that you are unduly bothering them: You have been through a traumatic experience and you need looking after, by yourself and health professionals.
Before you go to any doctor, write a list of questions, doubts and fears that you have and write down the answers. It might be better to take someone with you.
Please don't consider giving up, you must arrange to see the GP, if you are going to try and just cope with it anyway, you won't be wasting anyones time by waiting for an appointment. ALL of GP services are overbuy at the moment and I must admit that I try to avoid bothering the Docs if possible, but this isn't something you should be taking a chance on, seriously. Please, please see the GP if you feel really bad then get yourself to the A and E at hospital or as Celtic says call the paramedics.
I do know how you feel Hometerry. The GP system is falling apart at the seams with very long waits for appointments. To be fair my own practice does have a system for seeing patients urgently. In my case there was no hesitation in calling me in straightaway when I mentioned angina. Different GP practices have different ways of working. It might be helpful to find out how yours deals with emergencies. I agree with others who say you've got to look after yourself first though and call the paramedics if you can't get the GP to help.
Hi Hometerry. Dial 999 and get to A and E or get a taxi there yourself. Dont delay with heart and chest pain issues. I went 3 times to A and E with chest pain before being diagnosed with Heart Failure, so push them as it is your health and life that matters.
