I wrote my first message on Sunday and after reading it realized that I sound depressed! That's not the usual me! Heart failure seems to shock most people as it did me. I haven't had a heart attack so like many thought I was having panic attacks. Since Sunday I have read many of your messsages and find them a comfort. So many like me! Now I try to tick boxes of the positives. 1) I am allowed to drive. So I can't walk far but I can drive! I'm going to look for more boxes to tick each day. Thanks for your chats.

When I get down I listen to music. Brilliant music always cheers me up. Led Zeppelin are my favourite band but, strangely, don't cheer me up as much as Simple Minds.

Heart failure can turn you into a master of finding the positives. Oh, there's another positive right there! Perfectly natural to get depressed about it too, though, so never apologise if you need to have a cry or a moan or even a good old rant. Lots of love xx
Laura's right no need to apologise (I didn't see your Sunday post - was it 10 pages long ha) Seriously though every day is different - feelings sometimes take over and that normal. Good to know you can work out alternatives like being able to drive. Hugs to you.
I understand how you feel, xx

Great idea, ticking a box a day! Life is certainly different...but good. Thanks for an uplift.
