AF what’s going wrong ?

I was diagnosed with fast AF in June this year, I had cardioversion which only worked for 2 days then my heart was back out of its sinus rhythm, I was put on 5mg of bisoprolol taken in the morning, my heart went back into rhythm and all seemed to me going well until I collapsed in my GP surgery, this was due to the beta blocker slowing my heart rate down too much, I am now on 2.5mg of bisoprolol however, I’m having more and more trips to resus because my heart keeps going out of rhythm and reaching beats of 190bpm, has anyone else had this sort of problem

I recommend you head to the AF Association Forum on this site which has around 14,000 members going through similar things. It’s a very supportive community with lots of knowledgeable people.

Hi

Yes my heart jumps high and low for no apparent reason. I monitor this at the gym.

But just get on with things and I'm still alive.

Take care
